The MiMP study provides group therapy counseling that combines mindfulness-based relapse prevention therapy and peer mentoring to improve adherence to medications for opioid use disorders (MOUD).

MiMP-TP

MiMP-TP is an HRSA-funded program designed to increase the number of behavioral health paraprofessionals in Alabama. Through a partnership with the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH), UA offers trainees Level I and Level II training to enhance the knowledge and skills of substance use paraprofessionals who support both individuals in recovery and their families.

RESTORE Alabama

RESTORE Alabama is a three-year grant funded through the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). Our team has partnered with the Will Bright Foundation in Fayette, AL, to create and expand a recovery system for individuals in recovery. Our program provides transitional living at Restoration Springs and employment support, including interview and skills training and transportation to/ from work.
