Dr. Tricia Witte completed a predoctoral internship on the trauma track at the Medical University of South Carolina funded by an NIH training grant. She is currently a licensed psychologist in the state of Alabama and an associate professor of human development and family studies. Her areas of academic, research and clinical interests include trauma, dating violence, substance use, prevention and intervention. She runs the Prevention of Violence and Substance Abuse Research Lab (PVSA) in the Judy Bonner Child Development Center. She is also the coordinator for the addiction and recovery studies degree program at U.A. which she developed in 2018.
