M. Lindsey Jacobs, Ph.D., M.S.P.H., A.B.P.P.
Biography:
M. Lindsey Jacobs, Ph.D., M.S.P.H., A.B.P.P., is a research associate in the department of psychology at The University of Alabama (3/8ths) and a clinical research psychologist in the research and development service at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center (5/8ths). In addition to her research positions, she serves as an adjunct faculty member at The University of Alabama and provides clinical supervision to students in the clinical psychology program. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with board certification in Geropsychology. She received a master's degree in outcomes research in the department of public health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013 and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in geropsychology at The University of Alabama in 2014. Dr. Jacobs has served in leadership roles in local and national organizations and committees, including the Gerontological Society of America, the Council of Professional Geropsychology Training Programs, and the American Board of Geropsychology. Dr. Jacobs's clinical and research interests are decision-making capacity in older adults, mindfulness- and values-based interventions in late life, competency-based training in clinical psychology and geropsychology, and mental health care quality and access for underserved populations. |
