Ph.D. In Higher Education Administration, Masters in Business Management, Argosy University, Nashville, TN Bachelors in Psychology, Argosy University, Nashville, TN Associates in Alcohol and Drug Studies, Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, CA Biography: Dr. Jaime Garza has worked in substance use disorder treatment since 2005 and has been heavily involved in the creation and development of several nationally recognized programs. He and his team have been effective in creating access to higher education and providing an environment promoting academic excellence for students who have had bouts with personal life struggles. Dr. Garza is a person in long-term recovery and has attributed his educational pursuit as a significant contributor to his success in recovery. He believes education was the light he needed to get out of the darkness and now has dedicated his life to helping those who are demonstrating similar patterns as his own. He currently is the coordinator of collegiate recovery and intervention services at the University of Alabama. |
