Founded and approved by the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees in March 2022, we are UA's newest research project housed in the Capstone College of Nursing.

We are eager and excited to become recognized for innovative, state of the science and culturally responsive research as it pertains to substance use and related conditions. It is our mission to promote the health and well-being of individuals and communities in Alabama and beyond.

Through our research, we aim to reduce health disparities, improve health equity, and address social determinants
of health.
